The spark ignited in the 8th grade when he unearthed the treasures of Hip Hop royalty – from the infectious beats of The Fugees to the gritty lyricism of Wu-Tang Clan and the raw energy of DMX. Venturing downtown to the New Jersey Transit Bus Station became a pilgrimage, where he sought out cassettes from bootleggers, each tape a treasure trove of sonic inspiration.

Immersing himself in the art form, he also honed his skills playing the trumpet in the school band, but it was the pulsating desire to create music that truly consumed him.

Gldnmnd's sonic palette draws from a mosaic of influences, including the trailblazing sounds of DIBIA$E, the intricate productions of J Dilla, and the gritty authenticity of RZA. Paying homage to those who paved the way, his music is a fusion of innovation and homage.
